Tapstereo is an interactive sound oscillator.
Tapstereo turns your device into a musical instrument. Your movements control how the interactive "Sound Ball" generates sound.
Tapstereo has four different play modes: normal, fall, motion, and reflex.
You can play your Tapstereo while listening to songs on your iPod.
The new version of Tapstereo adds two new screens. The first new screen has enhanced play including 4 simultaneous sound balls, 4 sound generators, and 3 sound effects. The second new screen is a piano keyboard.

Setting frequency.
The frequency range is displayed in the title bar.

Use the slider bar at the bottom of the screen to adjust the frequency range.
The frequency range can be from one to nine octaves. The further the slider bar is moved to the right, the larger the frequency range.

The lines correspond to the C Major Scale.
The thick line is "C", the next line is "D", and so on.

Playing Modes
  • Normal

Sound Ball only moves when you move it.

  • Fall

Sound Ball immediately starts to fall, with the The sound fades as the Sound Ball falls.

  • Motion

Sound Ball is controlled by the motion of the device. As you move the device, the Sound Ball follows.

  • Reflex

Sound Ball is controlled by swiping. It bounces off the sides of the screen. The speed of the Sound Ball depends on how fast you swipe.
